The lack of access to stable electricity continues to threaten Cameroon’s development aspirations, thus deepening regional inequalities across the country. Over 75% of rural households in the country lack reliable access to the national grid, and conflict-affected areas in the North-West and South-West have seen dramatic service disruptions.
